Instigation Nation_ A Good Friday Facebook Live Q&A
===

[00:00:00] All right, let's jump into this deep dive. We've got some interesting source material to unpack today. Uh, looking forward to it. It's a, uh, it's a Facebook live Q& A session with this guy, Adam. Okay. Yeah. And, um, so picture that it's Good Friday. Okay. And Adam's kicking back with a Corona. Mm. Just chatting with his audience.

He calls them Instigation Nation, which I love. Catchy. Right. And, you know, throughout this whole Q& A, his personality really comes through. Yeah, how so? He's super conversational. You know, uses phrases like, you know, and I'm just saying, not afraid to use a little humor and some pretty strong statements to emphasize his points.

Sounds like my kind of guy. Yeah, you'd probably get along. And he's clearly passionate about what he believes in. You know, he's often referencing history and personal anecdotes. Weaving in stories about his family, his business, even his military background. Ah, so he's got a lot to draw on. He does. He does.

And the way he interacts with his audience is [00:01:00] really engaging. He uses these call and response techniques to make them feel like they're part of the conversation. That's smart. It creates a sense of community. Exactly. And that's what makes this deep dive so fascinating. It's a chance to get inside the mind of someone with a strong, independent mindset.

Especially in a world that can feel increasingly restrictive. Right. And Adam definitely feels that tension, you know, between control and freedom. Uh huh. He even says at one point, and I quote, I'd rather die in a field of a disease than die healthy of old age in a cage. Whoa. Okay. That's a, that's a pretty strong statement.

It is. It really gets to the heart of his fear. The loss of individual liberty. Makes you think, doesn't it? Where do you draw the line between safety and freedom? Yeah, for sure. Yeah. And think about what was happening in the world when he said, Lockdowns. Restrictions. It's not hard to see where that anxiety is coming from.

I guess not. Everyone was feeling it to some degree. Right. But for Adam, it's more than just a feeling. [00:02:00] He's worried about the erosion of freedom in everyday life. Like what kind of thing? He talks about restrictions at Home Depot. Rationing at Costco. The potential for extended stay at home orders. You name it.

So everyday stuff that's starting to feel a little too controlling. Exactly. And then he tells this funny story about his wife. Oh, I love a good wife story. Right. So she's at Costco, and they're rationing eggs, one pack per customer. Oh, okay, yeah. I remember those days. So what does she do? She does multiple transactions to buy more eggs.

Meeky. He thought it was hilarious. I bet. It kind of makes you think, you know? About how even small restrictions can feel like an infringement on freedom. Especially for someone like Adam, who sees it as a slippery slope. Small compromises today could lead to bigger losses of liberty tomorrow. It's easy to dismiss those concerns, but maybe he's on to something.

That's what we're here to explore. And this leads us to a really interesting concept that Adam brings up. Nudging [00:03:00] freedom. Nudging freedom. What's that all about? He's basically arguing that freedom isn't something that's just given to us. It's something that has to be constantly fought for and protected.

He uses the example of abortion laws. Okay. To illustrate how freedoms can be gradually eroded. Sometimes without us even realizing it. So it's like a slow creep towards less freedom. Exactly. And to hammer home the point he brings in historical parallels. I knew he'd bring up history. He loves history. He talks about the American Revolution, the willingness to use violence to secure liberty.

He's saying freedom isn't free. You got it. Sometimes you gotta fight for it. Powerful stuff. And it makes you wonder how far we've strayed from those founding principles. That's a question for another deep dive. But what's interesting is, he doesn't just single out one side of the political spectrum. Oh, so it's not just a left versus right thing for him.

Yope. He's skeptical of politicians in general. Regardless of their affiliation. So, he sees them all as potential threats to freedom. [00:04:00] Pretty much. Which is a pretty interesting perspective, don't you think? It is. It suggests a deep distrust of authority figures in general. And a belief that power can be used to restrict individual liberty.

Regardless of who's wielding it. Exactly. Yeah. And this raises a really interesting call about Adam himself. You know, he's building a platform, a following. Right. He's becoming an authority figure in a way. Exactly. So how does he see his own role in all of this? We'll have to keep listening to find out. We will.

But before we move on, there's one more piece of this section I want to touch on. Okay, what's that? Ada also mentions his skepticism towards vaccines. Huh. Interesting. And he shares a story about his sister. Okay. Who's an ICU nurse, and she's frustrated with the ineffectiveness of ventilators in treating COVID patients.

I see. So this is feeding into his mistrust of the whole system. It seems that way. It's important to remember, though, that this is just one perspective. Absolutely. We're not saying he's right or wrong. We're just trying to understand his point of [00:05:00] view. And provide some context. Exactly. And it's up to you to decide what you make of it.

Right. We're just here to facilitate the conversation. And hopefully spark some critical thinking along the way. Well, that's a worthy goal. I think so. It's like he's seeing all these cracks in the system, you know, and it's making him question everything. Yeah, and that can be a dangerous place to be, but it can also be a catalyst for change.

That's true. Yeah. And that brings us to Adam's call to action. Oh, yeah. He doesn't just sit back and complain. Nope. He wants his followers to do something about it. What does he suggest? He calls it Subtle Disruption. Subtle Disruption. What's that? It's his way of pushing back against the system without resorting to violence.

Interesting. So what does it look like in practice? Well, he announces his plan to defy the stay at home orders. What? How? By going to the beach. Bold move. Right. And he makes it clear that he's going to document the whole thing on social media. So he's encouraging others to follow his lead. Exactly. He wants to inspire others to stand up for their [00:06:00] freedom.

It's almost like a modern day act of civil disobedience. You could say that. Hmm. But here's where things get interesting. Okay, I'm listening. Despite his rebellious streak, Adam also emphasizes the importance of gratitude. Grat Yeah, especially on Good Friday. Huh. That's unexpected. Right. But he talks about how focusing on gratitude helps him deal with anxiety and worry.

So it's like a coping mechanism for him. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. It's like he's trying to find a balance between fighting for what he believes in. And accepting the things he can't control. Exactly. It's a tough balance to strike. It is. And it makes you think about your own life. You know, how do you handle those situations?

For sure. It's a question we all have to grapple with. Absolutely. And then Adam shifts gears a bit. Oh, where does he go next? He starts talking about his family life. Ah, getting personal. He tells this hilarious story about his son wanting to eat rabbit because of the Easter Bunny. Ah, that's cute. It is. It reminds us that he's not just this, you know, fiery [00:07:00] revolutionary.

Right, he's also a dad just trying to navigate life like everyone else. Makes him more relatable. Definitely. And then he ties this personal story back to his professional aspirations. Oh. How does he do that? He talks about his plans for K6, his family lifestyle brand. Okay, so he's building a business. Yeah, he wants it to be a beacon for others.

Something that reflects his values. So he's trying to create a community around his ideas. And monetize his platform. Smart move. Right. It's what a lot of people are doing these days, turning their passions into a living. It's the entrepreneurial spirit. It makes you wonder, would you ever do something like that?

It's a lot to consider, putting yourself out there like that. Especially when you know you're going to attract criticism. Yeah. And Adam's not afraid of controversy. That's for sure. But one thing's clear, he's authentic. Oh, absolutely. What you see is what you get. There's a rawness to him that's both refreshing and a little jarring.

Yeah, he's definitely a polarizing figure. You either love him or you hate him. There's not a lot of middle [00:08:00] ground with a guy like Adam, which is what makes him so interesting to listen to. Right. Even if you don't agree with everything he says. Oh, absolutely. He makes you think. He does. So let's, uh, let's bring it back to Adam and wrap up this deep dive.

Sounds good. We've heard him express some pretty deep concern about the loss of freedom. Yeah, especially in the face of the pandemic. Right. He seems to believe that freedom is something you have to actively defend. Even if it means challenging authority. Exactly. And he's not just talking about passive resistance either.

He's calling for action. Subtle disruption, as he calls it. Right. He wants his followers to push back against these restrictions. And he's willing to put himself out there to make a statement. Going to the beach in defiance of the stay at home orders. It's a bold move. It is. And it shows his conviction.

But, you know, even though his perspective is rooted in his own experiences, his military background, his business, his faith. It also taps into a broader unease that a lot of people are feeling. That our [00:09:00] freedoms are being chipped away. Yeah, bit by bit. In the name of safety and security. And it makes you wonder how far we're willing to let that go before we push back.

Before we say enough is enough. That's the question, isn't it? And that's what makes Adam's story so compelling. Yeah, whether you agree with him or not. He challenges us to think about our own values. Where do we draw the line? Between individual freedom and collective responsibility. Exactly. And his willingness to have these tough conversations.

You know, even when they get heated. It's important. It is. It reminds us that we need to listen to each other. Even when we disagree. Try to understand where the other person is coming from. Because shutting down dissent only makes the divides deeper. It does. Yeah. And that doesn't benefit anyone. So as we wrap up this deep dive, I think we're left with a pretty thought provoking question.

Okay, I like it. What is it? Inspired by Adam's reflections on Good Friday. If a figure like Jesus were to appear today Would [00:10:00] his message be embraced? Or would he be met with resistance? Would he be seen as a beacon of hope? Or a dangerous radical? It's a tough question. It is. It forces us to look inward. To examine our own biases.

How do we respond to people who challenge the status quo? Especially when it makes us uncomfortable. Are we open to hearing different perspectives? Even when they contradict our own. These are the questions we need to be asking ourselves. Especially in a world that's becoming increasingly polarized.

Adam's story is a good reminder. That freedom is a precious thing. And it requires constant vigilance. Open dialogue. Mm. A willingness to stand up for what we believe in. Even when it's difficult. So we encourage you to keep exploring these questions. To form your own informed opinions. And to engage in respectful conversations with others.

Even if you don't see eye to eye. Because in a world that's increasingly divided, it's more important than ever to listen to each other. Seek common ground. Work together to create a future where freedom and justice prevail. For everyone.
